Job Description
Responsible for the management of the blending plan, tank farm management, scale-up of developed formulas, and assist in the design of systems and processes for maintaining a top-tier blending operation. This role involves interaction with customers during validation of systems and processes, as well as training and development of the Wet Process Tech/Blending team. The position works closely with Quality, Sales/Marketing, and others to ensure all contract blending operations satisfy internal and external customers.
ResponsibilitiesManage the water purification system and processes.Ensure that internal and external customer production schedules are met on time and at specification.Participate in customer and site production planning meetings.Ensure all blending systems operate at standard cycle times and waste levels.Master product/technology knowledge for the field of application and use this knowledge to advise and coach colleagues.Orchestrate the Contract Blending Operation in a proactive manner.Maintain a high level of visibility.Instill a benchmark level of record-keeping and housekeeping in the lab and blending areas.Essential SkillsGMPChemical BlendingSupervisory skillsChemical CompoundingFDA complianceChemical operator experienceLean manufacturingProduction chemistryAdditional Skills & QualificationsDegree in the Sciences is preferred.3-5 years of Chemical Manufacturing Experience.Previous Leadership experience.Work Environment
