Additional benefits are listed at the end of this posting.  Principal Duties and Responsibilities: + Build chemical reaction and atomistic scale models to better understand and optimize vapor and liquid etch processes. + Model chemical reactions on semiconductor surfaces. + Build density functional theory and/or molecular dynamic chemical models into simulation software to optimize tool and process design. + Interface with the development team to define project strategy and deliverables. + Fully document work to provide colleagues with enough detail to maintain engineering simulations and/or code. + Strong emphasis is placed on candidates who can find solutions to difficult problems through structured project management and work in a team environment. + Good communication skills are considered critical. The candidate will communicate project goals and status updates internally and externally. + Some domestic and international travel are required. Requirements: + The candidate must have a PhD degree in Chemistry, Physics, or an equivalent field specializing in computational Chemistry. + Experience modeling Quantum Chemistry is required. + Experience with DFT simulations for reaction network search is required. + Experience using Gaussian software and/or other DFT software is required. + Experience with scientific software development to extend existing software for custom simulation and analysis needs is required. + Knowledge of the semiconductor industry is desirable. + Strong project management experience is required. + Strong technical writing ability is required. + Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills are required. + Ability to execute tasks with minimal oversight is required.
