Description Responsibilities: • Monitoring of Main Frame (MVS – Multiple Virtual Storage) 24x7x365 – The mainframe is not AS400/iSeries. • NETCOOL/Tivoli system monitoring including enabling and disabling of alarms for work and maintenance to be done on servers. • Utilize Remedy for system monitoring including opening, closing and follow up of tickets • Monitoring of jobs running and system availability • Assisting with Job Scheduling functions when needed • Physical security for data center areas • Safety inspections of white floor areas • Deliveries of hardware, equipment and supplies for the Data Center Scheduler Responsibilities: Responsibilities: • Fielding hundreds of requests per day company wide from all business units. • Monitoring and scheduling jobs (two kinds – (Control M Jobs and TWS – Mainframe Jobs) • Troubleshooting failed jobs and adding on demand jobs that need to be put on the schedule • Work closely with Control M Administrators and programmers to ensure jobs are being completed and scheduled correctly. Milestone 1: Process all on demand requests for Mainframe A: Process request for on demand Jobs B: Create Emergency ID’s for Principal IT Programmers C: Process Morning and Night job trains. (Stream of 3000+ jobs that run) D: Open and Assign Service Now tickets related to failures E: Troubleshooting all failures with their respective teams Milestone 2: Process all on Demand request for Control-M – !automation software for manual tasks to maintain the mainframe) For example: Move files, generate reports Milestone 3: Maintain the daily Control-M schedule A: Troubleshooting Failed jobs B: Opening, Assigning and closing all Control-M related Service Now tickets C: Working with teams to remedy failures D: Add/Remove jobs E: Modify current jobs Milestone 4: Advise on OS upgrades to maintain compliance Milestone 5: Advise with DR testing A: Working with the DR team do a “Dry Run” after the failover B: Validation of proper function in production afterwards Milestone 6: Work as a “Storm Rider” in case of an Hurricane(when needed) A: These teams stay 24/7 at a secure location in the event of a Hurricane B: Run all daily processes from this location during the emergency Milestone 7: Assist with the Service Now Migration A: All testing related to our group B: Create Knowledge Articles for Service Now Milestone 8: Maintain Policies and Procedures for daily runbook A: Develop documentation for new processes B: Update old documentation to current standards Milestone 9: Maintain Audit Records A: Maintain all checklists/records used for Audits Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $22.00/hr.
