A week in the life of a Computer Operator:

Provides technical support for computers and associated networks. Install, troubleshoot, service, and repair personal computers, network equipment such as servers, modems, multiplexers, related PC software, telephones, cables, and connectors. Provide personal computer, hardware, and software support. Install, services, and repairs personal computers and installs attendant software. Connect personal computers and terminals to existing data networks. Diagnose reported hardware, software, and network problems. Resolve problems or contacts additional technical support, as necessary.  Maintain network diagrams and circuit records. Maintains trouble logs. Instruct users in the use of personal computers and networks. Investigate information, network, and communications needs of users, and make recommendations regarding software and hardware purchases.
