The DODIN Joint Warfighter Capabilities department’s (N242) mission is to enable DoD technology and information superiority through a work program that is focused on providing rapid & resilient cloud capabilities, reimagining the Global DoD Network, and modernizing legacy C2 & communications.
Period of Work: May-August 2025 Full-Time: 40 hours a week Location: McLean, VA In Office Requirement: Hybrid (2-3 days a week onsite) Clearance Requirement: Will be submitted for U.S. Government Secret Clearance
Job Responsibilities:
+ Software Development: Develop software in languages such as Java, or JavaScript, and have exposure to cloud SDKs and APIs.
+ Cloud Architecture: Work with architects to design and model cloud-based solutions utilizing native cloud services as well as ensuring alignment with project requirements and government standards.
+ Cloud Migration Assistance: Support the migration of systems and data to cloud platforms, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to best practices.
+ Testing and Validation: Participate in testing processes to ensure that cloud solutions meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
+ Data Analysis Support: Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data, using languages such as Python, to provide insights that support decision-making processes and improve project outcomes.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Must be a student enrolled full-time in an accredited degree-seeking program in Computer Science or a related degree and continue to be enrolled full-time the semester following the internship.
+ Sustained excellence in academic performance.
+ Demonstrated software development experience in Java, JavaScript, or Python.
+ Familiarity with Azure or AWS environments and native services.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience having applied computer science learning to an internship or research/lab position.
+ Experience developing RESTful APIs with JSON or HTTP; or experience with MuleSoft.
+ Experience conducting thorough testing to ensure cloud solutions meet performance, security, and compliance benchmarks.
+ Experience in data collection, cleaning, and analysis to derive actionable insights for decision-making and project enhancement.
+ Demonstrated interest in serving the public
+ Existing Secret clearance.
