Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W0J4AA CYBER MILITARY INTELLIGENCE GROUP. Responsibilities Serves as a Cyber Military Intelligence Military Group Computer Scientist providing technical expertise to Intelligence Processing and Exploitation/Production efforts in support of Information Warfare. Evaluates technical intelligence reports to extract key findings and support intelligence production. Develops analytical methodologies to assess the impact of emerging cyber threats on operations. Identifies and recommends automation tools to improve intelligence processing efficiency. Tests and refines data exploitation techniques to enhance technical intelligence capabilities. Conducts research on adversary capabilities to support threat assessments and risk analysis. Provides technical guidance on information security risks related to intelligence operations. Participates in interagency discussions to coordinate intelligence-sharing efforts. Establishes relationships with technical experts to enhance collaboration on intelligence analysis. BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions. In addition to the basic requirements above, all applicants must meet the qualification requirements below: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1. Experience analyzing technical data, information reports or intelligence reports using computer science methods, techniques, principles and concepts to identify trends and assess operational relevance within the cyberspace domain. AND 2. Experience applying technical methodologies to process and exploit information data or intelligence data using established analytical techniques. AND 3. Experience developing automated solutions to enhance information or intelligence analysis processing efficiency. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-11).
