Computer Security Engineer II

We are seeking a skilled Computer Security Engineer II to develop, maintain, and implement information security standards, procedures, and guidelines for mission-critical defense applications and databases. This role plays a key part in ensuring systems and databases remain secure from unauthorized access, detecting threats, handling disaster recovery operations, and solving complex security challenges within a DoD environment. Key Responsibilities: + Develop, maintain, and implement information security protocols for applications and databases in compliance with DoD cybersecurity regulations. + Ensure systems and databases are protected from unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats. + Monitor security systems, identify vulnerabilities, and respond to security incidents. + Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for DoD projects. + Implement security frameworks and protocols. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cybersecurity best practices into defense systems. + Oversee disaster recovery and incident response operations, ensuring rapid resolution of security threats. + Apply advanced cybersecurity principles, theories, and concepts to complex defense projects. + Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior cybersecurity personnel. Required Qualifications: + Active Secret Clearance: TS preferred + 3 years' experience with bachelor's degree or 1 year experience with Master's Degree or higher Preferred Qualifications: + Experience working with classified defense systems and DoD contracts. + Familiarity with cloud security (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government). + Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and CI/CD pipeline security. + Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CISM. Education/Certifications: + Master's Degree or higher with 1 year experience or bachelor's degree with 3 years' experience.
