Job Title: Computer Support Specialist

Our Client:

Our client is the New York State Office of General Services (OGS) and they are seeking a Computer Support Specialist for one of their teams. This is a temporary position (W2 Only) in Albany, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual. The contract is expected to last 2 years with a pay rate of $23/hr. This is an in-office role, so you must be commutable to Albany. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide analysis of data for ongoing programsCreate and maintain data dictionariesRun and maintain data pipeline processesMap existing databases and perform routine database maintenance as directedProvide general computer support across the departmentTrain and support Department of Health staff, providers, and consumers on database and IT-related issues

Required Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of two years of experience in a professional IT-based settingProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, SharePoint, and Access)Ability to enter and extract data from electronic databasesStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, shifting prioritiesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal teams and external partnersAbility to work both independently and collaboratively with different personalities

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Microsoft Office productsExperience in creating, maintaining, and mapping databasesKnowledge of SQL, Python, R, or Tableau
