Computer Tape Librarian - Lima, Peru (Future Project)

What success looks like in this role:

Job Description Summary

Entry level role required to use scripts / work instructions to do daily tasks as assigned. Works with a high degree of supervision on maintenance of hardware / software, platform, customer proprietary, COTS, or Unisys applications from a domain specified area.

May work as part of a Command Center environment like Windows, Network, Backup, Storage, Database, or Mainframe. This function may be provided from a physical Data Center perspective as well.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinates requests for new automation projects and development of new applications.Interacts with the client and the System Operations Lead of the computer center to define, implement and maintain the automation processes of the computer center.Defines standards for the automation processDesigns and develops programs to support process automation (custom software – internal)Supports the analysis and implementation of change controls to production (new implementations)Interacts with other areas to collect information from the computing center.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Key Qualifications:

University degree in Systems Engineering or relatedMust have both verbal and written communication in English & SpanishLogical and analytical skills.Ability to support multiple clients/ technologies as part of shared support delivery.

Key Skills/Requirements:

Work under limited supervisionProblem analysisDetail managementEffective interaction with other members of the work team and with the clientMastery of knowledge of the client's operational processesQuick learning abilityUse of office tools, advanced Excel.Experience with backup solutions, tools, and operationsKnowledge of different media/tape formats, tape drives, VTL

Not Mandatory but desired:

Knowledge of SQL and .Net programming. C#, VBScript, Acces, Reporting Services, programming for Visual Basic Application (Excel), Control-M.
