This position will be part of our North America Enterprise IT Team, supporting the IT and telecommunications infrastructure for Emerson locations near Pittsburgh. You will use hardware, software, and communication systems, consistent with the Global IT Strategy, as well as support employees onsite, working closely with centrally provided IT services, including design, operations, and service desk activities. 

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Install and configure standard client computer software. Research issues with configuration and operation of standard client hardware and software components. Set up and configure computer peripherals.  Coordinate with colleagues, contractors and vendors, to install, maintain and repair computer hardware systems. Develop and document processes to provide ongoing maintenance support.  Maintain computer infrastructure systems including servers, printers, backup devices, routers, hubs, switches, and other network infrastructure devices.  Physically connect computer systems to the network, checking physical connections, and also connecting to network systems such as servers, network printers, backup devices, routers, hubs, and switches.  Support the appropriate level of service for a centrally provided and maintained IT Infrastructure for server, clients, printers, and other standardized peripherals, data communication (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN access and required components), and voice communication (local and remote).

For This Role, You Will Need:

2 years college or technical school, focused in electronics, computer operations, engineering, or other related science area. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted.  3-5 years' relevant experience in a general IT environment, including previous experience in supporting clients, servers, communication equipment. Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
