Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Computing Systems Tech 2 to support the IT program at a major national laboratory.

Responsibilities Provides day-to-day technical support services, locally or remotely, to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware. Installs, configures and troubleshoots desktop, or mobile systems, workstations, and network issues in a heterogeneous environment. Tests and evaluates commercial and Laboratory developed software for quality control and proper operation. Maintains passwords, data integrity and file system security for the desktop environment. Communicates highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel. Recommends hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades. Please note: This position begins in a teleworking capacity. Within the first or second year, the role will transition to an onsite Field Team position to enhance division support services and advance the selected candidate's career. Qualifications High School Diploma and 1-2 years of relevant experienceU.S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Q clearanceAbility to work onsite as needed and for random drug testing
