**Job Description:**
**Vaxcom Services (a Parsons Company) is currently seeking** **a** **highly motivated individual to support our Sponsor’s dynamic, challenging, and evolving mission requirements as a COMSEC Equipment Technician.**
**Responsibilities:**
**COMSEC Equipment Technicians are tasked with performing multiple technical maintenance processes on Sponsor’s Cryptographic Equipment including Testing and Inspection (T&I) procedures, software and firmware upgrades, and logging applicable data in various systems and databases in order to track compliance with National Program mandates and internal Sponsor policies and regulations. These processes will require the Technician to perform periodic updates on warehouse shelf stock as well as mandatory device inspections as a part of the critical equipment pre-deployment checklist. In addition, they will be responsible for Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting/testing of Sponsor’s COMSEC equipment inventory as well as Tier 2 troubleshooting on equipment supporting Sponsor’s external customers.** **COMSEC Equipment Technicians will be required to provide regular updates and briefings on status and compliance to the Program Office and the Sponsor’s Leadership Team.** **_A positive attitude with outstanding work ethic and attention to detail is critical to success in this position._**
**_This position requires a current/active TOP SECRET security clearance with FULL SCOPE polygraph_**
**The** **Selected Candidate:**
**Must be able to work independently in an extremely fast paced environment in support of a high priority, evolving, and expanding Program**
**Must be a strong team player with exceptional customer service and communication (written and verbal) skills**
**Will conduct technical device evaluations, upgrade, and repair in support of Program requirements and document results upon completion**
**Will respond to Sponsor’s ad hoc needs and take lead for developing necessary response strategies**
**Should have basic, working level, understanding of COMSEC processes and procedures or be willing to learn. Previous experience as a cryptographic custodian, utilizing CARDS and/or iApp databases is desired.**
**Required Qualifications:**
**Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph**
**Associates degree or higher or four (4) years minimum experience in a technical, mechanical, or COMSEC related field**
**Previous experience conducting troubleshooting, repair, and upgrade of technical systems**
**Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer usage in an office environment**
**Positive attitude and willingness to learn**
**Desired Qualifications:**
**One (1) year hands-on working experience with the use and operation of various COMSEC end crypto units (ECU) and various crypto fill devices**
**Previous experience as a cryptographic custodian**
**Previous experience utilizing CARDS and/or iApp databases**
**Previous experience with Client classified systems and databases related to inventory management, accountable property, and task reporting**

Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph

Salary Range:
$62,300.00 - $109,000.00
