Concrete Quality Control Field Technician - Boise
Overview Join Our Team as a Quality Control Technician! Are you passionate about ensuring the highest quality in concrete production? Do you thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy working with a dedicated team? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Things You’ll Do + Sample, measure, test, and report on concrete and aggregates at the lab, jobsites, and batch plants. + Work outdoors in extreme temperatures, occasionally at heights, and possibly during night/weekend shifts. + Collaborate with Plant Operations to monitor aggregate moistures, concrete properties, and plant consistency. + Support Sales in resolving quality concerns and educating customers on concrete placement and finishing. + Input and report data on the QC lab database (LIMS). + Report issues to the QC manager promptly and adhere to safety procedures. + Assist the QC manager with in-house training and customer education classes. + Maintain a professional and courteous attitude towards co-workers, supervisors, customers, and the public. + Work in a team environment and assist with other duties as required. + Maintain an insurable driving record. + Service, repair, and calibrate lab and field-testing equipment. Requirements + Certifications : ACI Field Grade 1 required (or ability to pass within 6 months). Preferred: ACI Strength Testing Technician, WAQTC Concrete, WAQTC Aggregate. + Standards Knowledge : Familiarity with ACI 318, ASTM C94, ISPWC, ITD, and ASTM C33. + Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; working knowledge of Stonemont QC, Stonemont Mobile, Command Series, Command Batch, BCMI Material Pro, Adobe Acrobat. + Preferred Experience : Idaho CDL with Transit-Mixer experience. + Physical Requirements : Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, occasional lifting up to 94 lbs. Frequent reaching, grabbing, pulling, climbing, stooping, squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting, pushing, and pulling. + Education and/or Experience : Minimum high school diploma or GED; technical education preferred.
