You are a Superintendent with 3+ years of field operations experience working in multi-disciplinary large-scale, commercial projects. You will be responsible for the concrete work scopes for a complex ICI project, ensuring company policies and procedures for safety, scheduling, budget, quality control and client satisfaction are met, while using industry knowledge and experience to drive long-term objectives.

Essential Responsibilities

Demonstrates leadership in health, safety and environmental protection on the project. Applies the requirements of the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) to promote overall compliance of Ledcor HS&E standards, applicable OH&S acts, regulations and codes with all employees and subcontractors on the projectEnsures project materials are supplied, and work is completed in compliance with the Project Quality ProgramEnsures that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes and that quality standards are maintainedDevelops, maintains and drives the construction schedule in conjunction with project team; ensures project milestones and completion dates are metStrategically plans and implements manpower levels and material quantities; ensures proper equipment and trades are available as requiredAssumes a leadership role and provides guidance to project team members in order to contribute to their development and career growthLeads project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the project’s ongoing progressionOversees project reporting that accurately tracks site progress, events, inspections and other relevant information

Qualifications

3+ years of construction experience in a Superintendent position or similar roleExperience working on civil and earthworks scopes on construction projects within healthcare, data centers, aircraft hangars, aviation warehousing facilities, and other complex projectsCombination of work experience in a similar role and industry related trade certification/educationExpertise in safety within the organization and knowledge of OH&S and Environmental standards and regulationsSuperior communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, and the ability to work with senior managementExcellent organizational, planning skills and the ability to juggle multiple prioritiesStrong technical knowledge of modern construction practices, documents, drawings, schedules, technologies, equipment, industry practices and contract negotiationsExpertise in coaching and developing team members through constructive feedback and providing opportunities for development Ability to anticipate problems and challenges, while providing leadership in creating innovative solutions to achieve organizational objectivesMust have and maintain a valid drivers license
