Job Purpose and Impact
The Sanitation Operator II will perform labor intensive housekeeping and sanitation processes using specialized equipment and following sanitation schedules and safety processes. In this role, you will maintain good housekeeping and sanitation conditions to ensure food safety regulations and other local regulations are met, prevent failures and maintain safe work areas.

Adhere to safe work practices, follow government regulations and other required guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions, ensure product quality is maintained and that all lockout and tagout procedures are followedPerform basic maintenance of inside and outside of faculties such as shoveling snow and salt, painting handrails and pipes and order supplies as neededPerforms scheduled inspections of equipment including steam and tempered water hosesTroubleshoots and unplug jets and clogged drainsRemove and dispose of all waste debris such as trash, paper, insulation and change out chemical waste drums per established proceduresWork safely with cleaning chemicals including use of protective gear as required and operating basic sanitation equipmentMaintain overall site cleanliness by performing sanitation tasks such as sweeping, dusting and mopping under frequent guidanceAs bins come out from the dumper, remove the plastic liners and place them in the proper trash recepticalLay the plastic totes on their side and push 2 containers together in a stacking fashionGet help from another employee to lift the totes upright. (Do not lift by yourself) If you do not have help, lift only 1 tote uprightBreak the cardboard bins down and place them into the cardboard tote assigned for cardboard recyclingWhen condemn barrels are full, weigh them and take them to condemn dock. Always team lift barrel dumpingOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications
