Condition Monitoring Analyst -Army Oil Analysis Program (AOAP)
York Laboratories is seeking a Condition Monitoring Analyst (CMA) in support of the Army Oil Analysis Program (AOAP) based in Redstone Arsenal near Huntsville, AL  The CMA provides important analytical input and evaluation for the AOAP. The US Army Oil Analysis Program (AOAP) is one of the most extensive, detailed, and impactful lubricant analysis programs worldwide. AOAP is a maintenance diagnostic program that monitors lubricant condition and detects impending component failures, allowing Army units to identify faults and perform maintenance before more severe/catastrophic damage to components occurs. AOAP contractor operated laboratories are located throughout the world with three CONUS and two OCONUS regional locations. The contractor, York Laboratories, LLC (dba MRG Labs), is a globally recognized leader in providing lubricant sampling and analysis solutions to commercial and government agencies worldwide, since 1999. Duties: The CMA shall + evaluate lubricant analysis data and issue maintenance recommendations for aeronautical and non-aeronautical diesel engines, aeronautical and non-aeronautical turbine engines, transmissions, gearboxes, hydraulics and ancillary components/equipment of associated weapon systems + employ AOAP’s analytical laboratory instrumentation along with acceptable measurement practices to perform crash sample analysis, correlation studies, root cause analysis, and Accuracy & Repeatability (A&R) testing + support calculations and evaluations required for implementation of the ISO 17025 Quality Program + work both independently and as part of a team to identify positive and negative treads influencing oil analysis results and promptly notify the Government of findings and potential solutions/improvements to resolve or address those trends Qualifications: The CMA shall + possess a B.S. in a STEM-related field plus familiarity with tribology and analytical chemistry + have experience with analytical laboratory instrumentation and statistics background to perform root cause analysis, crash sample analysis, correlation studies and Accuracy & Repeatability (A&R) testing on data collected by AOAP labs + possess or achieve Machinery Lubrication Technician (MLT I) certification within 24 months  (MRG Labs is the leading provider of training services for LLA certification, and will provide training, materials and assistance for the employee to achieve this requirement) + be able to work flexible shifts including being on-call + be fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking).  + be able to attain SECRET clearance + USA Citizens only Travel: + The CMA shall report to Redstone Arsenal regularly for work + Travel is not routinely anticipated, but may be required occasionally to support AOAP lab sites Employment decisions shall be based on merit, qualifications, and competence.  Employment practices shall not be influenced or affected by an applicant or employee’s race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or veteran status. MRG Laboratories reserves the right to alter, change, modify and/or terminate this job posting at any time without advance notice, or obligation, to any party.
