Job Summary

Under supervision, works with Product, Engineering, and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to support enterprise applications used for insurance policy management. Performs configuration updates in our systems for new and existing products, maintains system documentation, and supports Helpdesk/Engineering as needed with production support and release activities. Serves as a subject-matter expert of certain Tokio Marine HCC (TMHCC) systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure new/existing products on current TMHCC applications.

• Authoring and debugging business rules using a rules engine (BRMS).

• Maintain Excel spreadsheets which include advanced formulas, data references and VBA code.

• Support level II escalations from Helpdesk requiring deeper forensics and troubleshooting of TMHCC applications and products.

• Report status/progress to project team members as needed.

• Work with business users to understand business requirements and translate them to systems solutions.

Requirements

4 years bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experienceExperience with ZenDesk/Jira ticket systems: creating, updating, and closing tickets.Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and experience in an Agile/Scrum preferred.Knowledge or work experience of SQL and JSON is a plus.Experience on enterprise software design/support for insurance or financial services is a plus.Experience with enterprise Rules Engines such as InRule, Drools, Red Hat Decision Manager (fka JBoss).Cursory knowledge of programming concepts.Ability to learn new software and figuring out ways to make it better.Ability to pivot quickly when business priorities change.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment.Effective oral and written communication skills and exhibit a team mentality.Must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to work both independently and as part of a team and thrive on technical challenges.Possess and have ability to apply knowledge of principles, practices, and proceduresSolid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacyAdvanced organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyKnowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company’s business to proactively respond to changing business environmentIntermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)

For candidates working in person or remotely in the following locations, the reasonable pay range for this specific position is Sacramento, CA, $91,700 - $118,300 annually.
