**Description**
+ Des proposed product design changes to determine the effect on the overall system.
+ Establishes baselines and authorizes the release of drawings and changes specified by Program or Engineering Management.
+ Provides advice and guidance on methods, procedures and requirements to individuals responsible for the creation of documentation. Plans and implements methods to improve response.
+ Acts as liaison between management and other functional groups to resolve issues regarding configuration analysis documentation. Performs audits to verify compliance with contract requirements.
+ Work consists of making moderate to substantial improvement or enhancements to systems and processes to improve performance of job area.
+ Communicates within and outside of own function or business area and has responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.) when necessary.
+ Explains, interprets, and gains cooperation on policies, procedures and practices.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering/design and minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; Graduate Degree and minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience; or 10 years of experience in lieu of degree in lieu of degree
+ Previous experience with Defense hardware/software CM management required
+ Must be able to obtain a DOD security clearance.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ SME level skill set for administering PDM/PLM, data management applications. ECAD/MCAD file management, Solid understanding of ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5M -1994 or later). Trained in use of DOD INSTRUCTION 5230.24 and CUI requirements.
+ Previous personnel management would be a plus for ongoing succession planning.
+ A CM certification from NDIA or CMII organization preferred.
+ Solid knowledge and understanding of MILITARY, DOD and INDUSTRY CMDM standards.
