Job Responsibilities:
Configuration Management Support:
Assist in maintaining the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).Support the identification, control, recording, reporting, auditing, and verification of configuration items and IT assets.Help ensure the integrity and accuracy of configuration data by performing regular audits and reconciliations.Asset Management Support:
Assist in the tracking and management of IT hardware and software assets throughout their lifecycle.Support cross-functional teams in the maintenance and updating of asset inventories to ensure accuracy and compliance.Support the asset procurement process by coordinating with procurement and finance teams.Process Alignment and Improvement:
Ensure that configuration and asset management activities conform to industry good practices.Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Documentation and Reporting:
Assist in producing regular reports on the status of the CMDB and asset inventoriesHelp maintain comprehensive documentation for all configuration and asset management processes and procedures.Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with cross functional technology teams, procurement, and finance teams to understand and support fulfilment of their requirements.Support the Service Configuration and Asset Management Manager in communication efforts with stakeholders.Job Requirements:
1-2 years of experience in Configuration and Asset Management, preferably within the financial services or data analytics sectors.Five years’ of demonstrated experience adopting ITSM good practices, preferable within the financial services or data analytics sectorsITIL (v3 or above) foundation certificationKnowledge of industry good practices such as ITIL, DevOps, ISO20000Demonstrated experience across a range of IT Service Management disciplinesDemonstrated experience of supporting IT Service Management good practices in a scaled agile or similarly complex delivery environmentExperience of managing CMDBs and IT asset management tools, Service Now preferableStrong analytical skills with attention to detail.Excellent organizational and documentation skills.Good communication and interpersonal skills.ITIL (v3 or above) intermediate or practitioner level (good to have)Tooling/Technology Specific qualifications e.g. ServiceNow (good to have)Flexibility to adapt to changing organizational requirements, technologies, and methodologies.
