The role involves working on critical systems such as PCOS, CCQAS, DMHRSi, EAS IV, ESSENCE, and PHIMT, which are essential for managing healthcare claims, provider credentialing, human resources, cost allocation, disease surveillance, and health information management. This position requires expertise in agile methodologies and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic military healthcare environment.   Arlluk Technology Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Configuration Management Analyst to join our team supporting the Defense Health Agency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the configuration of complex software systems and IT infrastructure within the military healthcare environment. This role is crucial in ensuring system integrity, traceability, and compliance with government regulations and industry standards.   Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to: The Configuration Management Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the configuration management processes for various MHS applications. Key responsibilities include: Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management plans and procedures. Manage version control systems and processes for software and documentation. Coordinate and perform configuration audits to ensure compliance with established standards. Maintain configuration baselines and track changes throughout the system lifecycle. Collaborate with development, quality assurance, and operations teams to ensure proper configuration management practices. Manage and track change requests, problem reports, and enhancement requests. Prepare and maintain configuration status reports and metrics. Assist in the implementation and management of configuration management tools. Support release management processes, including build and deployment activities. Ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards related to configuration management. Participate in configuration control boards and change advisory boards. Provide training and guidance on configuration management best practices to team members. Education and Experience:  Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 5-7 years of experience in configuration management, or Master's degree in a relevant field with 3-5 years of experience in configuration management, or PhD in a relevant field with 0-2 years of experience in configuration management Required Skills and Competencies: Strong knowledge of configuration management principles, processes, and best practices Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Subversion) Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, IBM Rational ClearCase) Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices Knowledge of agile methodologies and their application in configuration management Experience with change management and release management processes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Knowledge of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and compliance requirements in government IT projects Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance Desired Skills and Competencies: Experience working in government or military healthcare environments Certifications such as CMII (Configuration Management II) or CMPIC (Configuration Management Professional) Knowledge of cloud-based configuration management and infrastructure as code concepts Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, FISMA) Experience with configuration management in complex, multi-tiered applications Knowledge of database configuration management practices Familiarity with automated testing and quality assurance processes Experience with configuration management in virtualized environments  Working Environment & Conditions This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.    This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.   The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
