The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Configuration Management Engineer located in Berkeley, MO.
As a member of the team, you will lead configuration planning, identification, change control, tracking, verification and facilitate program baseline management.
Position Responsibilities:
Assess prime contract and supplier contract configuration management requirements.Write configuration management plans.Establish and apply methodology for product and document identification.Prepare change control documents such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Requests for Variance (RFV), Change Documents/Change Requests (CD/CRs), Conduct program Change Control Boards (CCB), perform configuration audits, coordinate product configuration definition documentation, and others.Collaborate with fellow configuration management engineers on configuration management principles and job practices, and support of industry quality audits for Configuration Management. Provide configuration management guidance to program team members.Access product definition data and generate corresponding deliverables.Collaborate with customers.Engage in program planning.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.
An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.Level 2: 2+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors OR work-related experience with a MastersLevel 3: 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors OR 3+ years work-related experience with a MastersChange Management experience1+ years using Excel to perform data analysis1+ years editing PDF and Word filesPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in Configuration Management required for Mid-LevelDemonstrated interest in personal learning and development as well as process improvement.Ability to accomplish tasks through formal channels and informal networks; an understanding of the cultures of organizations and ability to apply this information in a way that strengthens the organization's strategic plan and profitability.Attention to detail.Excellent spoken and written communication across organizations.Experience with engineering product definition and Product Data Management (PDM) systemsTypical Education/Experience:
Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
