Your Impact\:
The Configuration Manager will support the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) at Fort Belvoir, VA. The Ground Intelligence Support Activity (GISA) Enterprise Transport (GET) Contract support INSCOM enabling the Army and its tactical units access to mission critical intelligence from national and defense intelligence agencies.


Job Description
•    Responsible for configuration management planning including organizing audits of the IT infrastructure and identifying unauthorized CIs. 
•    Ensures only approved and validated changes are implemented. Prepares configuration documentations and maintain Configuration Management (CM) database. 
•    Prepares reports and Management information, including impact analysis reports and Configuration status reports
•    Implements Configuration Management discipline for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirements/capabilities baselines to system end-of-life and is responsible for the Change Management of all configuration items in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
•    Identifies new configuration items, configuration status accounting, and assists in configuration audits.
•    Creates and maintains software, hardware, and documentation configuration baselines.  Ensures version control processes, policies, and procedures are followed during development projects.

Clearance Requirements\: TS/SCI

Educational Requirement\:

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in technology related field OR 8 years’ experience as an equivalent to having no degree

Certification Requirements\:

ITIL or Configuration Management Certification Desired

Experience Requirements\:

•    4 years of Configuration Management experience

•    Has strong written and oral communication skills to effectively interface with military officials, managers, and subordinates.

•    Understanding and familiarity with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Enterprise Service Management, and Configuration Management processes.

Work Environment

Work will be performed inside a large facility. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations\: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting).

Work assignments vary based on client requirements.

Work may include travel with the military to participate in exercises in austere conditions

Outside work may include various environmental conditions including hot, dusty, cold, icy and windy climates.

Physical Requirements

Sitting at desk. Phone use and PC or laptop. Filing required. May require lifting and carrying boxes of supplies or files up to 25 lbs. Extended periods of sitting while on PC/laptop or phone.

Equipment and Machines

General office equipment, which includes\: telephone, fax machine, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office equipment.

May require operating motor vehicles.

Attendance

Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is mandatory. 

It is important to be able to work any shift/designated hours required. 

You may be asked to continue performance in support of a war, contingency, or exercise

You may be asked to continue performance during inclement weather or other conditions when others are not permitted to work

Position may require night and weekend work and could include travel with the military to participate in operations/exercises located in areas with field conditions

Continental and Oversees travel may be required.  It is important to maintain a current passport.

Employment is contingent upon obtaining all required certifications within the timeframe specified in a waiver by the government (if applicable) and maintaining required certifications through the duration of the contract.
