About the Opportunity

As a Senior Configuration Manager, you will support Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). The successful candidate has proven success in establishing and managing CM and AM programs employing best practices programs that reduced costs, improved operating metrics, implementing process and system enhancements, and involved the coaching and development of staff. The candidate for this role creates and implements strategies for developing and delivering CM and AM programs that provide highly accurate asset and configuration data to effectively support IT decision making and operations within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and lead strategy for maturation of IT Asset Management and Configuration Management programs, processes, technologies, and staffImplement and monitor processes to ensure the accuracy of hardware, software, and configuration items.Manage a team of process leads and support staff that that provides asset and configuration management support including auditing, reporting, training, and database upkeepCreates processes and procedures and provides training to support technicians and other stakeholdersProvide data analysis and statistical reporting for the AMDB and CMDB Partner with ServiceNow platform team to develop automation of tasks and activities to reduce process cycle times and increase accuracyDrive cost reductions and efficiency gainsCollaborate with other Service Management process owners to ensure effective touch points with ITSM processes such as Incident, Request, and Change ManagementLead software audit engagements on behalf of the companyProvide counseling & coaching, oversight, and support for delivery teams and staffDeliver asset management design and implementationBudgeting and planning for operationsBuild suitable structures, systems and controls so that our clients can deliver capital projects with confidence Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience OR In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is requiredMust be a U.S. Citizen5 + years relevant experience in Asset Management & Configuration Management3 + years people management experience; working with full time employees and contractors mostly who are virtually based3 + years experience with ServiceNow ITSM platform, especially with Asset Management and Configuration Management Databases (AMDB & CMDB) and ServiceNow DiscoveryExperience deploying Software Asset Management solutionsAdvanced excel skills; Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, data analysis Proven ability to work in a large and matrixed corporate environmentAbility to influence all levels of managementAbility to effectively communicate technical actions to a non-technical audience

Required Skills/Certifications:

ITIL 4 Foundation certificationIT Asset Management certifications such as Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM)Lean IT, Six Sigma, PMP, or similar industry certificationsProject and program management planning and organizational skill
