Axient is seeking a Configuration Manager / FAMEMS Lead to join our team in Aurora CO at Buckley Space Force Base, Denver Co. to support our Space Systems Commad customer. In this role, you will work with a geographically dispersed team to ensure good coordination and project compliance. Additionally, you will use a software tool (FAMEMS) to track changes and new equipment installations for compliance, power, and actual installation verification to audit equipment on a quarterly basis.
What you will do...FAMEMS is part of a Configuration Management system and is used to document hardware systems installed at customer facilities. FAMEMS personnel will work closely with program managers and site integrator and maintenance personnel to assist, monitor, and audit hardware installations, modifications, and removals. Use of the FAMEMS tool is essential to maintain configuration control for all projects requiring wiring/cable changes to the operational baseline; redlines shall be incorporated and audits shall be performed to ensure baseline integrity and accurately capturing changes.
For Quality Assurance (QA), this role monitors and audits all ongoing projects’ hardware installs and/or removals in the identified systems to determine whether the project adheres to specific configurations, per approved plans. Some travel is required (<10%). This role entails reviewing internal process documents as well as regular deliverables and attending coordination meetings with a geographically dispersed team. Specific responsibilities include:
Reviewing hardware architecture changes and capturing changes in the FAMEMS database.Participating in physical reviews of tracked sites to verify data.Coordinating and participating in Integration meetings, project support reviews, design reviews, and install and check-out plansParticipating in site surveys related to installations such as phone, internet, and secure means of communication.Skills you will need...
Bachelor's degree in industrial or electrical engineering and 3+ years of experience in a related field.
