Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Configuration Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will collect and update ERP configurations for design documentation, including drawings, work instructions, and routers. The role involves verifying and approving drawings before they are released to production and collaborating effectively with various departments.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop part drawingsReview Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and suggest improvementsCreate redlined documents for immediate production supportMaintain design development packages for new productsSource suitable prototype samples and parts for fabricationRetrieve materials from stock while ensuring traceabilityDetermine component lead times to meet schedulesIdentify new componentsGenerate bills of materialDevelop prototype and production routersPrepare new documents for productionWrite and maintain AS9100 Engineering documentationOrder and manage supplies for Design, Drafting, and Document ControlIdentify similar parts and assess the application of changesEvaluate and implement changes to routersIncorporate approved document changes from the Change Control Board (CCB)Create formsPrepare Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to incorporate changes from ECRs, redlines, and production requestsChair the Change Control BoardParticipate in the Epicor Implementation TeamTrain new employees on EpicorAssign ECO tasksCreate item master records in Epicor (MRP system)Develop new bills of material in Epicor (MRP system)Maintain bills of material through the ECO process in Epicor (MRP system)Manage numbering systemsAssign part and drawing numbersMaintain original master documentationVerify the completeness of documentationEnsure affected departments are notified of ECO changesEssential SkillsExperience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD for creating part drawings and maintaining design documentationFamiliarity with Epicor or similar MRP systems for creating and maintaining bills of material, item master records, and managing ECO processesAbility to write and maintain AS9100 engineering documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards3-5 years of related experienceStrong follow-up skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Access, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, PDF, etc.Professional communication skills with all levels of staff and management in a diverse environmentExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsAbility to multitask and make sharp decisions with minimal supervisionAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the manufacturing field is a plus, but not requiredExperience with Epicor is a plusAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, with the flexibility to work overtime as neededCapability to manage highly confidential information appropriatelyDiligent problem solver with a strong work ethicWillingness to take on additional responsibilities as neededWork Environment

The role involves working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, utilizing technologies such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Access, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, and PDF. The position may require flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
