About the Role:

As a Configuration Strategist at Hitachi Vantara, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Field Sales and Pre-Sales teams across the EMEA region. Your mission is to deliver precise and effective configuration specifications for our solutions, ensuring they meet the diverse needs of our direct and indirect T1/T2 business customers. 

 

Type of work: Remote Work Policy - primarily remote, with required office visits a few days during onboarding and approximately once a month thereafter.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Configuration: Manage and optimize solution configurations within Hitachi Vantara’s quoting systems, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Expert Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of Hitachi Vantara’s hardware and software solutions, staying abreast of market trends and competitive developments. New Product Adoption: Support early adoption of emerging technologies by integrating new product components into configurations as appropriate. Performance Communication: Effectively communicate configuration performance insights to Field Sales teams. Collaborative Problem-Solving: Partner with Field Sales to proactively identify challenges, develop solutions, and enhance productivity. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal teams and Field Sales districts to anticipate and address changing business needs. Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with fellow Configuration and Pricing Strategists to refine, enhance configuration practices and global procedures.

 

Team Collaboration:

Work as part of a dynamic team of 9 Configuration Strategists spread across five EMEA locations. Maintain close collaboration with Field Sales, Pre-Sales Engineers, Sales Operations, Finance and other stakeholders involved in the deal cycle. Provide valuable insights and recommendations to the Configuration Manager regarding resource needs and personnel matters.

 

Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred. Experience: Professional experience with IT organizations. Data storage knowledge is advantageous. Experience in supporting Field Sales teams is desirable. Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with peers and all organizational levels. Languages: Proficiency in English is required. Local language proficiency is beneficial, and a third language is appreciated.
