Conflicts Center of Excellence Senior Analyst The Conflicts Center of Excellence supports our audit engagement teams in meeting their regulatory requirements related to identifying potential conflicts of interest. Work you'll do As a Senior Analyst in the Conflicts CoE, you'll use your analytical, research, investigative and supervisory skills to: + Work closely with Conflicts CoE Managers and Senior Managers, Lead Client Service Partners, Deloitte Independence Directors, Audit engagement teams, global Conflicts teams, and teams across Deloitte's businesses to support audit teams in maintaining auditor independence and identifying potential conflicts of interest + Coordinate the process workflow for the department by: + Monitoring incoming requests from engagement teams + Assigning cases to analysts in US and India + Ensuring timely completion of assessments + Directing various questions to senior leadership of the department, as applicable + You will support engagement teams with: + Submitting conflict checks to a centralized Conflicts team + Following up with relevant US and Global contacts to obtain feedback on services and relationships + Assessing of services and relationships for risk categorization + Applying independence rules and policy to client-specific fact patterns + Preparing final independence assessments to be reviewed by Managers and Senior Managers + Raising potential conflicts to Managers and Senior Managers for evaluation + Engagement with the global Independence & Conflicts Network as needed + Engagement with Enterprise Portfolio Management team as needed + Work on various projects at the direction of Managers and Senior Managers, to prepare internal documentation and educational materials, as well as presentations to the external stakeholders of the process (i.e., the broader Independence & Conflicts Network, engagement teams, audit practice, etc.) + Assist Managers and Senior Managers in the development of procedures, and implementing process improvements for the Conflicts CoE + Provide training support and work collaboratively with team members in US and India The successful candidate will possess: + Strong oral and written communications + Outstanding attention to detail along with strong technical, organizational and analysis skills + Ability to multi-task and prioritize + Good working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, experience working with MS Teams, Outlook + Excellent business writing skills + Excellent organizational skills The team + The Conflicts CoE team performs a critical quality-assurance and risk-management function for the Deloitte U.S. firm, helping the organization remain unbiased and free from conflicts-of-interest, in fact and appearance, when providing services to attest/audit clients. Qualifications Required: + Bachelors' degree + 3+ years' relative experience + Limited immigration sponsorship may be available Preferred: + An understanding of Independence requirements for professional auditing firms + Client-service oriented mindset + Interest in untangling puzzles For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York state, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to New York state and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $63,000 to $129,300.
