JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

Provide assistance, guidance and training in the maintenance and development of machine programs, and machine set-ups.Provide assistance, guidance and training in the optimization of machine programs and set-ups to meet or exceed theoretical product run-rate.Perform Maintenance on all Conformal Coating area equipment and provide assistance and training to coating techs in the repair and preventive maintenance of coating equipment.Provide additional help in the diagnosis of all coating equipment including Parylene chambers, and execute repairs within skill level. Escalate appropriate issues to Manufacturing Engineers, and provide assistance as needed.Evaluate soliciting assistance from machine vendor Field Service Engineers and assist those persons on the completion of tasks whenever possible.Assist in Identifying potential machine failures, and undiagnosed trends to reduce equipment downtime and work with the equipment manufacturer to improve and rectify identified problems with our equipment.Maintain a high level of service and repair training on new equipment as it is added.Assist in the coordination of floor layout re-configurations and machine move activities, including equipment arrival, positioning and installation.Serve as the technical expert for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of supported Manufacturing Machines and provide specialized training and assistance on that equipment when required to Manufacturing Engineering Tech I & II employees.Assist Manufacturing Engineers & Manufacturing Engineering Tech I & II as requested and provide recommendations for designing, fabricating and / or modifying necessary tooling, and product design for manufacturability (DFM) improvements.Monitor and maintain the upgrade level of software on all related equipment to ensure the highest possible equipment efficiency and uniformity throughout the plant.Interface with and assist the Jabil Engineering and Equipment Process and Software Engineering Groups to successfully achieve common goals and complete special projects.Assist the Machine Support supervisor in the daily guidance of the MET floater when needed.Maintain continuous communication with the Machine Support Supervisor and the Manufacturing Engineering Technician III on the following shift.Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.Comply with all procedures within the company security policy.

·         Performs preventive maintenance as required, completes maintenance records.
·         Determines work priorities with respect to production schedules and interfaces with department and line supervisors.
·         First point of contact in escalation procedure.
·         Provides front line contact between Machine Support and Manufacturing functions.
·         Provides training to machine support technicians
·         Addresses repetitive equipment problems and designs long term solutions.
·         Facilitates NPI activity for area of responsibility.
·         Provides line support to machine support technician as first contact in escalation procedure
·         Drives improvements in line Metrics, efficiencies, yields
·         Displays manufacturing process knowledge
·         Ensures 100% on time completion of PM tasks
·         Ensures less than 5% equipment downtime
·         Displays awareness and compliance on Health & Safety issues
·         Supports New Product Introduction/Prototype runs.
·         Measures department performance and drives improvements
·         May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

·         Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
·         Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
·         Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
·         Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
·         Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid.
·         Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
·         Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
·         Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
·         Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
·         Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
