Your role and responsibilitiesJob Description: •\tThe role functions as a member of an area team that is directly responsible for efficient productions of quality products in the required quantities.•\tTest motors using a testing machine. •\tConnecting, test, sleeve, form and wire motors within the department as instructed. •\tUse Shop Floor Display, read and comprehend: Special Instructions, TDRs, Manufacturing Instructions, and all diagrams related to task. •\tControl and adjust machine settings to adhere to blueprints, work from layouts and dimensions on drawings to perform assigned tasks.•\tEvaluate and test data for product acceptance and determine corrective action.•\tAbility to identify various tools to set up the machine and use them according to safe work practices. Identify and order appropriate supplies, parts, and tools as needed and identify materials used at their workstation as required by the job or job process.•\tUse of flex flow and day and rank system •\tUse of various electrical measuring devices and equipment. •\tMeet specifications, produce a quality product, work defect free work and meet production goals.•\tProduction operators to train and/or perform the tasks of the other associates in the area as needed.•\tCommunicate with other operators and supervisor to discuss any problems.•\tSupport other functions within the team/department.•\tMust be able to work with others in a team environment•\tWilling to cross train on other position within the team/department. •\tPlace safety in the workplace above all else and follow safety guidelines along with reporting safety issues. •\tDaily housekeeping. •\tWork overtime and other duties as needed.
Qualifications for the roleEducation and Experience Needed:\tHS Diploma or equivalent required\t1 Year of Industrial type experience or military service or in lieu of industrial experience, will consider vocational/ technical high school and technical college courses.\tPrevious motor experience preferred. \tCandidates must have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the United States.Physical Demands:\tRepetitive lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, and twisting of parts/motors on a conveyor line weighing up to 75 lbs.\tRepetitive twisting, pushing and pulling on wires\tUnderstand and use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) \tAble to work 40hrs a week and required overtime\tAbility to think independently while successfully functioning in a team environment\tAble to perform tasks in a manufacturing environment\tStanding on concrete floor for long periods of time\tMust be able to follow workplace safety procedures and use the personal protective equipment required\tReasonable accommodation can be made to enable people with disabilities to perform the described essential functions of the job.
