Consolidation specialist (H/F)

JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

 

As a Consolidation Specialist you will be part of the Consolidation team and you will have the opportunity to take care (based on the area of responsibility assigned to you) of almost all processes that contributes to the preparation of sub-consolidation, participating also to the preparation of the annual and interim consolidated financial statements of the Group, as well as of the monthly and/or quarterly internal closing of the Group consolidated accounts. You will also assist junior members of the team supervising their activities and providing guidance on some of the consolidation processes. Moreover, you will represent the team being part of cross-department projects and will support and monitor Group’s subsidiaries in preparing the IFRS annual and interim reporting packages. Being flexible, open-minded and willing to learn in an international and evolving scenario will be a key success factor!

 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES :

· Management of the sub-consolidation process for a large portion of the EssilorLuxottica Group

· Monitoring and providing feedback on the quality and timeliness of the reporting from the Group’s subsidiaries

· Preparation of the sub-consolidated balance sheet and related variance analysis

· Provide sub-consolidated data to the parent company

· Filling and submitting webforms, schedules and other supporting documentation to prepare the consolidated financial statements of the Group

· Ensure consistency of the accounting methodologies and procedures across the Group

· Support Group CFO in analysing data included in the financial statements

· Maintain relationships with External Auditors and provide support for their activities

· Maintain cross-functional relationships with other Corporate departments

· Coordination: (i) Reference point both for newly acquired entities and for existing subsidiaries across the Group; (ii) Annual review of all local statutory financial statements; (iii) Technical support in evaluating the impacts deriving from the adoption of new Accounting Standards and non-recurring/new transactions

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS 

 

· Educational Background in Economics / Accounting

· At least 5/6 years of experience in Consolidation & Group reporting [or in Audit]

· Solid experience with HFM - Hyperion

· Solid experience in MS Excel

· Very good IAS/IFRS knowledge

· International background

· Strong problem-solving skills

· Passionate individual, a strategic thinker with a strong interest for Corporate Reporting who is ready to take on big challenges

· Demonstrated ability to think out of the box and find innovative solutions to traditional problems

· Comfortable working in a fluid and highly collaborative way with a strong ability to listen and adapt

· Fluent in English

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

 

Educational Background: Degree in Finance / Economics / Accounting
