Construction Account Manager

About us:

Our Construction team is growing, and we are looking for a “people person” who is passionate about working with customers. If you like managing your own clients and working with a team, this is the right fit for you. As the Account Manager, you are responsible for servicing and retaining clients in our Construction segment. You are also responsible for providing support to Producers and/or AEs in obtaining, maintaining, and expanding business. 

In this role, you will:

Maintain a book of construction accountsCoordinate the processing of all construction new and renewal businessWork with producers to maintain synergy with HUB International corporate goals, our carrier requirements, and the needs of our clientsPrepare quotations and prepare new client proposalsComplete new business applications; upload applications using the appropriate company automation system and see through to policy issueReview all new policies for accuracyProcess endorsements and renewals through communication/interfacing with clients and companiesProcess invoices and credits for agency billed businessProcess cancellations according to procedure manualPursue professional studies and maintain familiarity with trends in the industry and new insurance productsImprove/refine professional skills through continuing educationMaintain account files in accordance with established proceduresGather underwriting, pricing, and supporting data for preparation of submissionGenerate applicable reportsEstablish and maintain good working relationships with company sales representatives, service centers, and underwriting and claim representativesAssist in training other employees

What you offer us:

Current Property/Casualty Insurance License1-2 years of brokerage experience; construction experience preferredHigh school diploma required, though college degree preferredUnderstand and analyze insurance coverages, forms, and policiesAbove average math skillsStrong written, oral, and phone communication skillsOrganize, set, and maintain prioritiesBasic knowledge/experience with an agency management systemStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
