Job Title: Construction Administrative Assistant

Job Description

As a Construction Administrative Assistant, you will serve as the key liaison between the team and the owner, ensuring smooth communication and coordination. You will manage the permitting process, assist with pre-construction tasks, and provide essential administrative support to the construction team.

Job Requirements

3-5 years of experience in a similar role, such as a project manager assistant.Pre-construction experience, including permits, splitting lots, and predevelopment, is highly desirable.A degree is nice to have but not required.Exposure to accounting software like YARDY is a plus but not necessary.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and manage the permitting process for all construction projects, including new home construction and renovations.Work with local municipalities and governing bodies to ensure that all necessary permits are obtained in a timely manner.Track the status of permits and follow up as needed to prevent delays in project start times.Assist in the preparation and organization of pre-construction documents, plans, and schedules.Ensure that all pre-construction tasks, such as site assessments and utility coordination, are completed prior to the start of the project.Work with project managers to confirm that all necessary materials and resources are available for the commencement of construction.Provide administrative support to the Director of Construction and the construction team, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining project documentation.Facilitate communication between different departments and external stakeholders to ensure that everyone is aligned on project goals and timelines.Assist in coordinating and tracking project budgets, timelines, and milestones.Proactively follow up with team members, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that all tasks are completed on schedule.Maintain a detailed task list and project calendar to track progress and identify any potential delays.Essential SkillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.Strong administrative support and project coordination skills.Experience in project management and construction administration.Highly organized with the ability to go above and beyond to ensure project success.Excellent communication skills and the ability to hold people accountable.Work Environment

You will work from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a one-hour lunch break. The team consists of the Director of Construction, 4 Project Managers, and 1 Estimator, whom you will support. The work environment is fun and dynamic, featuring a beer tap in the kitchen. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
