Job Description
We’re seeking a self-motivated Construction Administrator to oversee the construction phase of projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and smooth collaboration with architects, contractors, and clients. ResponsibilitiesManage In-Office Construction Admin: Handle startup, submittals, RFIs, ASIs, change orders, and project closeout tasks.Coordinate Correspondence: Oversee receipt, forwarding, and return of project documents as directed by the Project Manager.Submittals & Reviews: Review payment applications, architectural submittals, and coordinate consultant submissions.Communication: Keep the Project Manager updated, prepare contract documents, and conduct site visits.On-Site Admin: Attend OEM meetings, document minutes, and follow up on action items.Client & Consultant Coordination: Communicate construction needs with clients and manage consultant site visits and inspections.QA/QC & Cost Estimation: Ensure construction quality, review building plans, and develop cost estimates.Project Closeout: Perform final inspections, punch lists, and ensure project manual completeness.Mentorship & Budget Compliance: Mentor staff, track budgets, schedules, invoices, and work orders.Site Visits & Reports: Regularly visit sites, ensure compliance, and maintain quality control.Document Management: Ensure project documentation aligns with company policies.Change Orders & Safety Compliance: Collaborate on change orders, maintain logs, and ensure safety requirements are met.Essential SkillsMinimum 5 years of recent experience in Construction Management/Administration including in-field experience.Recent work with an Architectural Design firm preferred.BA or equivalent in Construction Management preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Must be a self-starter and work independently with conflicting deadlines.Attentive to detail and precision. Takes pride and ownership in their work.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in construction documentation, architecture, design, and construction administration.Work Environment
Monday to Friday in office, with the ability to work from home on Fridays or bring your dog to the office on Fridays. Enjoy a balanced workweek with 9-hour workdays, plus a half-day on Fridays.
