What You'll Do:

Construction and Scheduling Coordinator you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules, timely completion of engineering projects. Using strong analytical skills, excellent project management abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams leading the scheduling in engineering projects from initiation to completion. This role encompasses managing sequencing, coordination, quality & safety elements of construction activities.

What We're Looking For:

Project Management and coordination skills to lead project planning throughout project lifecycle Project team communications and coordination of resources to execute project tasks Drive project management requirements impacting schedules across project team Participate in the development of project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget, and define project tasks, milestones, and deliverables. Prioritize safety throughout construction execution, addressing any safety concerns or violations promptly. Ensure engineering standards, specifications, and quality standards are met during construction. Track project progress and coordinate resources (personnel/materials/equipment) to meet project goals, providing technical expertise to resolve issues. Implement and maintain quality assurance processes, conducting inspections and tests to verify the quality of installation work. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, utilizing scheduling software to create, monitor, and update timelines, milestones, and deadlines. Monitor project progress against the established baseline schedule, analyze variances, recommend corrective actions, and communicate updates to stakeholders. Coordinate and manage engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to the schedule, effective resource allocation, comprehensive documentation, and reporting.

Skills That Make a Difference:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Project management, or a related field Have completed or working towards Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent. Minimum five years’ experience as a Construction Coordinator, Scheduler, or similar role in an engineering environment. Preference for experience in chemical processing and facilities. Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Asana, Trello). Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask and coordinate effectively across an engineering team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); working knowledge of engineering software and databases. Awareness of industry-specific standards and regulations. Experience in managing construction sequencing, coordination, and mitigation to meet project timeline objectives.

 

Considered a Plus:

Experience with Lubrizol Painesville specific products. Familiarity with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Fundamental understanding of SAP is a plus.

Working Conditions:

M-F 8 hours with possibility for occasional overtime Must be willing/able to work in a plant environment. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Ability to use ladders and stairways to access roofs and equipment Must be willing/able to work in a plant environment. Work is performed within a controlled environment; noise levels in some areas require hearing protection. Must be willing/able to be exposed to inclement weather while moving throughout the plant during the work day as required. Expected to wear all required PPE.
