The Construction & Engineering team cover the whole spectrum of contentious and non-contentious matters across energy and infrastructure, student accommodation, logistics, retail, private rented sector, sport, education, healthcare, and residential development sectors. This is a wide-ranging opportunity spanning traditional developments acting for developers, contractors, specialist subcontractors and consultants, through to complex projects in emerging areas such as energy and infrastructure. Whilst this role will involve a mix of contentious and non-contentious work, you will be encouraged to follow your passion and there is the opportunity to later specialise - if you choose to do so! ABOUT YOU The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes: · Qualified Solicitor, NQ-5 years' PQE with at least a seat during your training contract in an established construction practice, either contentious or non-contentious. · Experience in both contentious and non-contentious construction will be advantageous, although candidates specialising in either will also be considered. · A solid understanding of issues arising in the construction industry and the drive for continuous development. · The ability to work collaboratively in a collegiate team, as well as colleagues in other practice areas. · A commitment and willingness to participate in business development. · Clear communication skills, both written and verbally. · A practical and commercial approach to working. OTHER INFORMATION · Competitive salary from £62,000 upwards depending on experience. · Annual bonus and comprehensive benefits package. · Hybrid working with a vibrant Leeds City Centre office.
