Job Title: Bookkeeper
Location: New Britain
Salary Range: Starting at $60,000– Direct Hire
Position Overview:
This construction company is seeking an organized problem-solver to join our client’s team as a
Construction Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a robust background in accounting
and financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial transactions, such as credit card and bank reconciliations, and manage the accounts payables and receivables process.Work with the general contractor or project manager to provide detailed financial reporting, ensuring costs, timelines, and budgets of construction projects are accurately forecasted.Perform extensive data entry to ensure all financial data is input into accounting software.Update and maintain accurate financial records, contracts, annual budgets, tax reports, and financial statements.Process invoices, checks, and payroll accurately and on time, resolving any invoice issues.Safeguard the accuracy of the general ledger and journal entries, prepare balance sheets, and financial reports.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in accounting, business, or a related field is preferred; a high school diploma is required.Experience in accounting or full charge bookkeeping in the construction industry.Exceptional organization, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Familiarity with construction accounting concepts, tax strategies, and best practices.Experience with AIA Billing is a plus. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, and accounting software, such as QuickBooks.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $36.00/hr.
