Summary About the Position: As a construction control representative, at the full performance level you will be responsible for assigned function of surveillance, wide-scope monitoring, inspection of civil works, military construction, interagency projects including construction of flood control structure, environmental mitigation, testing structures, equipment installation, water treatment plants, mechanical, and electrical components. Responsibilities Performs bid-ability, constructability, operability, environmental and sustainability reviews of plans and specifications. Participates in or conducts site showings and pre-construction conferences. Observes and investigates construction at all stages to identify conformance and/or concerns. Inspects contractor workmanship, equipment and materials in order to recognize and identify deviations from contract requirements. Reviews as-built drawings to ensure changes in plans and specifications have been accurately noted. Compiles data and prepares a variety of correspondence and reports. Ensures strict adherence to safety provisions of the contract and that the contractor’s safety program is effective. Detects and ensures the correction of unsafe conditions.
