The Facilities Construction Trades Coordinator at Micron Technology, Inc., is responsible for coordinating all aspects of an assigned project while working in a team environment with contracted services and other construction and engineering subject areas. This role ensures each project is completed within scope, on schedule and within budget. In addition, this role oversees electrical contractors and communicates the priorities for all daily activity. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Safety & Quality:
Ensures contractor team finishes the required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with Micron and Technology Development (TD) safety policiesStops work for safety if unsafe conditions and/or behaviors are identifiedEnsures the team follows job hazard analysis (JHA/JSA) for work being performed in their areaEnsures the team follows all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws including PPE, CoHE (lockout /tagout) and chemical safetyFollows-up on safety and quality related issues immediately and works towards resolution with team membersActively participates in the EHS program by reporting all EHS-related concerns or problems immediately (maximum 24 hours)Performs and facilitates audits and submits good catchesEnsures team always wears appropriate PPE, per JHA, supervisor, EHS professionals, and/or job designationProactively finds opportunities to reduce potential hazards which may impact personnel health and/or the environmentEnsures the use of proper lifting techniques and works in an ergonomically correct mannerImplements effective practices to ensure safety and quality expectations are met.Drives quality improvement initiatives in their area of expertise to reduce Fab impacts, improve efficiency and drive cost savingsEnsures specifications, standard and checklists are aligned with corporate guidelinesLeads system solving efforts when requestedLeads lessons learned type activities per area of expertiseEnsures the review of assigned designs confirm they are within manufacturers and company guidelines to ensure safety and quality expectations are metOwns content of construction specifications, design standards and design checklists that ensure quality, efficiency and safe workEnsures all workers on equipment have proper training and certifications where applicableCommunication & Collaboration:

Uses a systematic project management methodology to develop, prioritize and handle projectsLeads projects to ensure work is completed within the required scope, schedule and budgetSupervises actions and provides issue path or resources to ensure actions will be completed on timeDefines and leads sophisticated, multi-disciplinary projects of critical importance to MicronEnsures regular communication to collaborators of project status, roadblocks, and path to successEnsures that project scope meets requestor needsCollaborates with consultant resourcesCoordinates and leads meetings and initiates follow-up actionsAdheres to established procedures for handling changeWorks with appropriate personnel to address problems or make correctionsProvides support for cost and schedule estimates and justification for approvalPerforms project cost estimates and provides input for cash flowCoordinates the project requester’s needs, and the engineering and trades construction schedules and work loadsOversees and leads projects from initial consultant selection to close out, which could include high value projectsTechnical/Data Analysis:
Analyzes systems data to make critical decisions, improve performance, gain efficiency, and drive cost savingsProvides effective and timely guidance to resolve issues and is highly engaged in key problem resolutionProvides fixing support for sophisticated problems and addresses root cause Performs problem analysis using standard tools and methodologiesSupports risk and/or failure mode and effects analysisEliminates single points of failure and mitigates riskProvides consultation and technical support to Operations, Maintenance, Manufacturing, and other department/sitesPartners with key team members to identify gaps and opportunities for efficienciesLeads or supports benchmark activities on operational, procedural, engineering, facilities systemsMaintains applicable subject area knowledgeSupports a culture of TPMUses administrative databases as vital in support of job tracking, data, capital equipment facilitation, and critical system loads and capacitiesIncorporates safety controls in every aspect of the design, enhancement, and modification processAnticipates potential utilities and/or operational issues which may negatively impact productionIs responsible for the construction contractor staff and ensures quality outcome of projectProvide construction decisions at project work siteProvides construction status reportsQualifications:
