We are looking for a Construction Inspector to join our team in Fort Worth, TX to provide construction related services for civil engineering projects during design, bidding and construction phases. Projects include roadway, new bridge, bridge rehab, retaining walls, storm drainage, erosion repair, pipeline and plant improvements. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of heavy-civil construction experience. 

Responsibilities Manage construction phase services including contract administration and construction monitoring from pre-construction through project closeout consisting of municipal/private utility type projects.Construction administration responsibilities include client coordination, response to RFI’s, processing of change orders, shop drawing review, construction schedule and approval of contractor pay applicationsMonitor single or multiple site construction activities for conformance with project plans and specificationsPrepare field reports and photos of construction activities and site investigationsTroubleshoot construction issues providing alternative solutions and value engineering in collaboration with engineering staffReview bid documents and technical specificationsMay provide construction observation training and mentoring of junior engineering staffMay conduct meetings with clients and contractorsAssist engineers with project permitting including permit applications and certifications Qualifications High school degree/equivalent or betterConstruction/engineering field observation experienceStrong understanding of municipal/governmental agencies (TxDOT) specifications, details, and practicesStrong understanding of construction site safety practices Options Apply NowApplyShareShare this job with a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
