Your Role/Responsibilities
Deliver on-time and accurate engineering package to projects and support to tenders including Participation in preparation of DOW with Partners for Construction activities.
Analysis of tender documentation for Construction activities: identify specific requirements, possible deviations, and risks. And Participation in technical tender and constructability reviews
Clarification of scope of Erection and Commissioning activities to execution team including M&E contractor with respect to contract.
Responsible for Erection Sub-contracting Specification and BOQ which include Technical Documentation and Erection Subcontracting / partnership agreements, Piping prefabrication specification, Technical analysis of offers, support in commercial negotiation followed by onboarding of subcontractors
Verification of BOQ for Erection subcontracts. Continuous monitoring of evolution of quantities and consequences (resources, schedules, costs)
Conducting analysis to assess the productivity results & profitability implications; identifying business risks & implementing effective mechanisms to mitigate the same.
Proficient in preparing DMS/MIS reports, planning, interface coordination & feasibility reviews with a view to appraise management of the process operations and assist in critical decision-making process.
Responsible for drawing reviews, Feasibility checks, Interface issues, Specifications check, Clarifications and deviations list.
Efficient in interfacing with clients for understanding their requirements & suggesting the most viable solutions and cultivating relations for client retention and vendor development
Represent the assigned scope at meetings with the customer if required.
Transmit Erection Documentation for Plant scope (FGD/WSC/Piping/ROP) to site (Released for Construction)
Prepare Erection Inspection and Test Program / Plan (ITP/ITPL’s for FGD/WSC/ROP mechanical equip.)
Prepare NDT Test Scope for FGD, WSC and ROP
Provide user training and support for the Master/Material Tracking Application (MTA).
Provide training and support to site execution team including M&E contractor for understanding of use & structure of erection & commissioning documentation.
Support in claim negotiations and preparation of relevant documentation and facts.
Manage site execution team to update return of experience log sheet.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering appropriate to the technical activity involved
4-7 years’ experience in Power Plant of capacity 500 MW / construction site with Knowledge of Mechanical Electrical & Instrumentation installation / Erection related projects for power plants.
Nice to have knowledge of FGD & TI process & system.
Excellent management skills
Excellent capabilities in the explanation of complex technical and working processes.
Strong negotiation skills
