Independently provide on-site construction engineering and inspection to ensure conformance of completed work to contract plan, specifications, and applicable standards. Perform independent materials testing and sampling, including nuclear density gauges for asphalt density testing on PWL projects. Interpret construction plans and specifications to assist in resolution of field issues. Complete daily documentation of construction progress including written daily reports, measurements of work in place, photographs, etc., Prepare and maintain accurate as-built records of the project work. Independently review and respond to submittals, correspondence, and other project documents. Communicate regularly and effectively with project team and stakeholders to ensure the success of the project.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management or related field and 1 year of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in construction engineering. In lieu of the requirements listed above, the employer will accept: a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management or related field and 3 years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in construction engineering.
SPECIFIC SKILLS: Expertise/ knowledge of: Construction engineering and document control. Concrete mixture testing experience. Reviewing and processing RFI’s, NCR’s submittals, daily reports, and final project documentation utilizing Procore software and E-Builder. Utilizing AutoCAD to draft and revise engineering plans, profiles, and maps. OSHA 30 Hours training. Driver License. Ability to operate the vehicle and maintain auto insurance.
Job duties are project-based and performed on long-term assignments at various unanticipated sites within the U.S. which may require relocation at the end of each project.
