Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. **What You'll Be Doing** + Operate heavy construction equipment such as loaders, excavators, and bulldozers on highway and road construction projects. + Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance. + Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times to maintain a safe work environment. + Assist with loading and unloading construction materials. + Collaborate with road crews and team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion. **What Are We Looking For** + Proven ability to operate heavy construction equipment safely and efficiently. + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a construction setting. + Ability to work independently and as part of a road crew team. + Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members. + Commitment to safety and quality in construction projects. **Conditions of Employment** + Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. + Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing. **Work Environment** + Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level. **What We Offer** + $54.27 per hour. + Benefits through the Union for Medical, Dental, Vision and Pension.
