Summit Search Group has partnered with our client to find a highly motivated and experienced Construction Estimator to join their dynamic team. The Construction Estimator plays a crucial part in the operations team, working closely with Project Coordinators, Construction Managers, and subcontractors to oversee construction projects. The Construction Estimator will ensure projects are completed safely, cost-effectively, and on schedule, providing leadership, training, and guidance to the team. This position involves both office work and on-site project management, with a focus on timely and accurate reporting for both internal and client-specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately complete take-offs for residential, commercial, and RTM construction projects. Gather and analyze all relevant documents, including property plans, technical drawings, and project specifications. Prioritize and manage tasks within the estimating department, ensuring seamless collaboration across internal teams. Work closely with project teams to meet all deadlines and project milestones. Create detailed material quotes, adhering to standard operating procedures. Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience as a construction estimator. Post-secondary education in a construction-related field is an asset. Comprehensive knowledge of building envelopes for both residential and commercial construction. Proficiency in reading, understanding, and interpreting drawings and specifications. Strong attention to detail with advanced math, technical, and calculating skills. Exceptional quantitative abilities. Reliable, meticulous, and articulate in communication. Experience with BisTrack is considered an asset.
