Construction Estimator

We’re looking for an experienced Construction Estimator based out of New York City, NY (NYC, Rockland County, Orange County) supporting multiple state-wide projects. You’ll review and verify consultant cost estimates and develop cost estimates from conceptual to detailed. You’ll provide change order reviews and negotiations along with bid review and schedule of value review and approval. You’ll be a key contributor and mentor to a knowledgeable and supportive team as you prepare estimates by developing project work breakdown structures, calculating complete scope of work take-offs, and apply construction means and methods. Design teams will also collaborate with you on the quality and amount of input necessary to develop the required level of design build construction estimates. You’ll tap into both your creative and analytical sides in this role as you develop reports and presentations as well as analyze historical data. * Bachelors Degree in Construction Management or related field OR Associates Degree with 2 years of estimating experience OR 4 years of experience as an estimator * Ability to read and interpret contract documents and construction plans to prepare estimates * Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills * Proficient in quantitative risk analysis and industry estimating software * OSHA 30 Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire * Ability to travel to meet project needs *No sponsorship is available for this position* Selected candidate will be hired by Jacobs or one of the subconsultant team partners. #EastPMCM #NorthPMCM Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
