My client is family owned Design/Build firm that is looking for a Estimator for commercial construction. Some preferred projects for estimation experience are healthcare facilities, hospitality, education facilities, manufacturing facilities, offices, airport/aviation facilities, restaurants, etc. Must fully understand construction, compile detailed scopes of work, and analyze subcontractor proposals. Acceptable software are PlanSwift, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff or similar prgrams

Job DescriptionSupport all aspects of subcontractor and supplier estimating and bidding processesAttend project site pre-bid meetings, site tours, and post-bid interviews as requiredAdministration of bidding documentsSolicit subcontractors and vendors for quotations on each projectReviewing and understanding of plans and specsWriting detailed scopes of workAccurately evaluate / analyze subcontractor pricingQuality and material takeoffsProcess RFP, RFQ, and internal pricing requestsWork on multiple company bids simultaneously and delivering in accordance with deadline objectivesDevelop, prepare, coordinate, and execute presentations and proposals to existing or new clientsSet up project estimate and determine general condition costsCreating, updating, and organizing subcontractor and vendor listsCompile, verify, and update unit pricingReview constructability and schedule with OperationsDevelop cost saving suggestions for clientDevelop conceptual and budget estimates

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or relatedEstimation software proficienciesCommercial construction background
