Construction Funding Analyst I

The Construction Funding Analyst I position provides support to the company’s construction lenders by reviewing and analyzing construction draw documentation to facilitate the funding of periodic construction loan draws.  This position requires tactful customer service skills due to interactions with internal bank staff in multiple departments, bank customers, and other, external third parties involved in the construction loan draw process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate the assembly of essential construction loan draw documentation from various parties, both internal and external to the bank.Organize the workflow for construction loan draws, including follow up with lending staff, third party construction inspectors, insurance agents, title companies, attorneys, and/or bank customers for missing construction loan draw documentation, as necessary.Work closely with assigned lending staff to assist in specialized application of construction loan draw procedures, as unique construction lending opportunities require.Promote an outstanding customer experience by exemplifying prompt follow-up and proactive internal/external customer communication, proper etiquette, and all other professional customer service qualities to maximize the most out of the internal and external relationships.Maintain solid partnerships with all ancillary departments within the bank to include lending, Loan Admin, Credit Admin, Special Assets, and IT.Prepare memos and reports as needed.Stay informed of the latest changes and trends in compliance and credit policy.Operate in compliance with federal lending regulations, particularly Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Truth in Lending Act, Flood Disaster Protection Act, Homeowners Protection Act, and Home Mortgage Disclosure Act.Position requires compliance with all banking regulations, particularly the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti Money Laundering regulations.Produce BSA/AML related reports as appropriate.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Ability to read, write, analyze, and comprehend simple instructions, routine business correspondence, financial reports, and/or legal documents.Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence and/or journals or government regulations.Ability to read and interpret construction-related documents, such as construction budgets and schedules, architect/engineer reports, Title Company endorsements, AIA pay applications, and third-party construction inspection reports.Ability to write routine reports and business correspondenceAbility to professionally respond in writing to customer complaints, regulatory agencies, or other members of the business communityAbility to meet deadlines and manage problematic situations in a diplomatic manner

Education and/or Experience

HS Diploma/GED requiredBusiness or Construction-related post-secondary degree or certificate preferredThree years Loan Assistant or Construction Funding experience required

Computer Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelGeneral banking software applications
