ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB’s South Portland, ME office is looking for a Construction Inspection Intern to join the team for Summer 2025.

 

Responsibilities

Monitor construction to provide assurance that the project is being constructed in accordance with approved plans and specificationsPerform quantity computations from field collected measurements and record the data for project recordsDocument construction activities in daily electronic reportsCoordinate with the Resident Engineer to address Contractors’ questions

Skills and Attributes

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsSelf-motivated with a demonstrated ability to grow professionallyAbility to work well in team-oriented structureMS Office Suite skills

Qualifications

Currently pursuing undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related fieldPrior civil engineering/construction inspection internship experience preferredMust have a valid driver’s license
