Construction Inspector

Job Description

Seeking a qualified ODOT Soils and Aggregate Field Testing Technician to join our Construction Materials Testing and Inspection department. Job duties include performing quality control testing on soils and aggregates on ODOT transportation jobs. This includes performing density checks/compaction testing of unbound materials such as clays, sands, and gravel on ODOT highway projects. The right candidate will have prior ODOT inspection experience and certifications.

The Inspector will be supporting an ODOT roadway project in Lawrence County, OH. If the Inspector is not local to the area, per diem and/ or living expenses will be covered.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

-ODOT pre-qualified Soils and Aggregate Inspector

-NICET Level II or NETTCP Soils and Aggregate Field certification

-ACI Level I preferred but not required

-Prior experience performing soils and aggregate inspections on ODOT projects

-Strong communication and documentation skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
