Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Construction Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, maintaining, and organizing construction documentation, traveling to project sites to review compliance with engineering plans and specifications, and maintaining strong client and contractor relationships. This role involves consulting with contractors and project engineers regarding construction practices, reports, and design plans.
ResponsibilitiesCollect, maintain, and organize construction documentation.Travel to construction project sites to review worksite compliance with engineering plans and specifications.Maintain strong client relationships as the company’s representative on the project site.Maintain strong relationships and communication with contractors and subcontractors.Verify design plan accuracy in the field.Consult with contractors and project engineers regarding construction practices, reports, and engineering designs.Review changes in construction and materials specifications due to developments during project construction with the Project Manager or Project Engineer.Essential Skills2+ years of experience in construction, inspection, and construction services.Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.Additional Skills & QualificationsPreferred education is a Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited curriculum at a four-year college.Strong organizational skills.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.Work Environment
This position involves on-site project work in Toledo. The role does not require ODOT experience and focuses on land development projects.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $34.00/hr.
