The Construction Intern will be part of the Clearway Construction team and will report to the Construction Project Manager, but based on the assignment may vary in terms of day-to-day reporting structure. In this role, the Intern will assume various roles on the Construction and Project Controls teams supporting active wind energy, solar energy, and battery storage projects under construction in the continental USA. The Construction Intern will be based on the construction site, but the position may require periodic travel to a Clearway office location for training. During this time the Construction Intern will be assigned various roles in support of the project’s goals.
This position is part of the 10-week Summer Internship Program at Clearway Energy Group beginning in June 2025.
We are looking for current juniors or rising seniors pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Management or a related field.
Throughout this summer internship program, you’ll get exposure to real projects and challenges while gaining first-hand professional experience. At Clearway, you’ll gain access to an innovative and fast-paced work environment. You’ll also participate in networking and learning events with your fellow intern cohort.

What You'll Be Doing On-site Construction Progress tracking using spreadsheets, photo documentation and daily report Understanding of safety program, working safety within the program, and helping to maintain a safe site by identifying and address safety issues Understanding the Quality Assurance/Quality Control program and enforcing that program as requested by Project Manager and/or Construction Site Manager Reading and interpreting construction schedules and advising on site progress as relates to schedule durations Support for change order analysis, equipment and labor hour tracking, and any other cost control tasks requested by Project Manager and/or Construction Site Manager Read, understand and interpret the EPC Contract and major supply contracts Tracking inventory of critical parts around a construction site, including owner supplied materials and contractor materials Inventory Controls Perform other duties as assigned At the end of the internship, the Construction Intern will present their final project to leadership.
